Reindeer House pt.25

Reindeer House pt.25

Christmas afternoon arrived quietly at Santa’s Reindeer Stables Boarding House.

The deer were still fast asleep after an exhausting — but deeply satisfying — night of work. All was calm, and all was bright, the winter sun peeking lazily through the curtains.

Then —

BABAM!!

Kyuupiddo shot awake with explosive enthusiasm. He leapt from his bed, sending plushies and soft toys flying in every direction, and tore down the hallway at full speed.

“WAKE UP!! IT’S CHRISTMAAAAAASSSSSS!!!!!!!”

Doors creaked open one by one as the others emerged in various states of exhaustion and excitement—hair messy, antlers askew, eyes half-lidded but smiling. Eventually, they gathered in the lounge, where Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus were already seated with coffee and pastries, watching the chaos unfold with matching amused smiles.

Stockings were emptied and marvelled at — gasps, laughter, and excited commentary filling the room — while the Clauses exchanged knowing looks at every delighted reaction. Then came the special Santa gifts: one for each deer, thoughtful and uncannily perfect.

After a quick raid of the breakfast table, the true chaos began.

Wrappings flew. Boxes were torn open. The room filled with oohs, ahhs, delighted laughter, and heartfelt thank-yous as each gift was revealed. Even as they later moved on to a ridiculously bountiful Christmas feast, those Santa gifts lingered in their thoughts — warm reminders of the night they’d just conquered together.
